New York, NY, January 30, 2017 Derive Technologies, and the company's dedicated Derive Healthcare practice, announced today that Rachel Schaeffer of Marlboro, NJ has joined the firm to further develop its growing portfolio of Healthcare and Public Sector accounts.

Previously, Rachel spent two decades in business development, channel management and sales, serving a variety of public and private sector markets. Prior to her new position at Derive, she was responsible for business development, partner relations, and served in sales positions, at etherFAX, DataMotion and Secure Exchange Solutions (SES).

Rachel’s list of Healthcare, Government and Public Sector clients and partners has included:

  • American Cancer Society
  • Ateb
  • Montgomery County School District
  • California Department of Justice
  • Florida Department of Law Enforcement
  • State of New Jersey, OIT
  • Tatum (Ranstad)
  • as well as a series of Oncology Hospital and Dialysis Center clients, and EHR/EMR & Patient Portal solution and Care Coordination platform partners throughout the U.S., among others

Rachel established the Partner Referral Program for SES, specifically for Healthcare partners who sought to integrate the company’s SES Direct software suite, but did not want to undertake account provisioning, troubleshooting password issues and general support. This service model simplified the delivery of the Direct solution for partners, generating significant new revenue for the company.

At Derive, Rachel’s primary focus will be to support new business development for industry-specific solutions such as infection control, mobile point-of-care, medication management, and others, as well as overall IT infrastructure offerings such as data center, storage, cloud, mobility and professional services.

“Rachel’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge has already made her a key addition to the Derive Technologies family,” said Bill Rochford, Derive's Director of Business Development. “We view her appointment as a sign of our commitment to being the leading company in our industry. Our new innovations and the increasing demand from our customers led us to look for an addition to our team who will fit in with our ethos of innovation, exceptional service, and corporate culture. It is fortunate that we could find someone of Rachel’s caliber to fulfill this role. I’m confident that Rachel will play a key role in providing and implementing high quality solutions for our clients.”

“I am excited to start a new challenge within Derive Technologies and look forward to working with the team to further develop their already extensive product and service suite,” Schaeffer said. “I am fortunate to be joining such a respected company that prides itself on top quality service and look forward to growing the company’s healthcare and public sector business lines.”

Rachel is a Citrix Certified Sales Professional. Derive has appointed her to be the company’s New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) liaison, and she will continue to serve as a member, and participate in the activities, of the NJ HIMSS Events Committee and Security, Privacy & Compliance Taskforce.
