A March 12, article on the Healthcare IT News website, contains an extensive, valuable infographic entitled, “A look at the impact of IT in Nursing.”
According to the article, the infographic, “created by the Adventist University of Health Sciences, explores the impact, good and bad, on the Nursing profession.” It shows specific areas where Nursing workflow and technology have not yet, according to the article and illustration, produced satisfactory outcomes, including those related to performance and efficiency, to fully-effective adoption of EHR/EMR systems — comprising, as illustrated, the HIMSS model and U.S. Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) statistics on adoption — as well as areas wherein Nursing is not yet aligned with training and career advancement related to use of technologies.
