A recent study of nurses from the National Center for Biotechnology Information of the U.S. National Library of Medicine suggests "they spend only 37% of their time with patients; much of the rest is consumed by administrative tasks," according to an article this week (September 15) in Forbes. The article stated these administrative and financial tasks are the subject of intelligent automation efforts by long-time Derive Technologies client New York-Presbyterian Hospital, an academic medical center based in New York City.
